The musical opening of the film " The Tale of Steven" is a reference to the old openings in classic Disney animated films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Cinderella (1950), and Sleeping Beauty (1959). During the opening credits, Earth and the Sun are pointing northeast, similarly to the intro for the nature documentary series Planet Earth, where the sun is in the center east while Earth is pointing east. The animatics are kind of neat – especially if you’re interested in animation or storyboarding – but there are so many of them and so little of anything else.
