Minifigures Never depicted in LEGO officially before, Robin Hood is one-half of the rumoured minifigures said to be representing the animated movie of the same name with a bow accessory. 4 – Prince John Image: IMDB via Disney Viewing this minifigure from the side shows the prominence of the nose, which will undoubtedly divide opinion. Personally, I think it was necessary, although it does take some getting used to! Pinocchio comes with a printed minifigure head, depicting Cleo inside her fishbowl, which has become a relatively common element use recently and looks superb.
But that’s not all, LEGO have officially revealed 3 new Disney 100 sets, 43217 Up House, 43212 Disney Celebration Train and 10998 DUPLO Disney 3 in 1 Magical Castle, which will also be released on 1 April 2023. Eighteen minifigures are included, so we have decided to divide our review. Part one features classic characters like Oswald and Pinocchio, alongside three Disney princesses, making their long-awaited minifigure debuts! This is a new colour for the umbrella element and is the nearest available match to the burgundy accessory featured in the movie, but its shade is inescapably imperfect.
Like the two previous series of Disney Collectable Minifigures, eighteen characters are supplied. Each box still contains 36 minifigures though, which has been consistent since the beginning of 2021, so there are only two complete series available from a box, rather than the normal three. Minifigures As the antagonist of Disney and Pixar’s Coco, the Ernesto minifigure is rumoured to include a guitar. 8 – Miguel Image: Disney Pluto only looks like a minifig in the theme parks, though. In Europe, people would be more familiar with the comics* than the theme parks, and there he looks more like a real dog. Miguel Rivera idolises Ernesto and has an opportunity to meet him after entering the Land of the Dead accidentally. This minifigure accordingly includes a painted skull on his face, to avoid alarming other residents of the afterlife! The character's cheerful expression looks brilliant and I love the alternative face too, which seemingly represents Miguel's grito, a tuneful yell common in Mexican music. Facilier's cane and a printed 1x2 tile are provided, the latter representing a tarot card. Similar to the minifigure patrons on Tiana's poster, the hands on the card are actually those of minifigures, which looks great. Unfortunately, the villain's magical talisman is omitted, which is odd because a printed 1x1 round tile would have sufficed.Every collectible LEGO® minifigure in this series comes with one or more accessory elements, plus a collector’s leaflet and a unique display baseplate. The previous series of Disney Collectable Minifigures have certainly been enjoyable, but I think 71038 Disney 100 Collectable Minifigures surpasses them both! This selection of characters provides greater variety than before, while the individual minifigures are more advanced too. Many include dual-moulded pieces and nearly all are extremely accurate to their equivalents onscreen. The minifigure is also accompanied by a standard guitar and his dog, Dante. Even though this dog element was not originally designed to represent a Xoloitzcuintle, it definitely suffices and Dante's bizarre expression perfectly conveys his goofy personality from Coco. For Southeast Asian people like Filipinos, I think warm tan is fine. But Chinese? I live in a tropical climate and our skin tones look nothing like that. Don't take my word for it though. Ultimately, it's up to you." Fourteen films are represented in 71038 Disney 100 Collectable Minifigures, of which Robin Hood is perhaps the least known. However, the titular outlaw is immediately recognisable and his unique head sculpt captures wonderful detail, notably including a yellow hat, with space for a red feather on top. Robin's pointed ears and fur texture each look excellent too. CMF is all about new elements. I don't have stats for each series, but I know they've appeared as often as one for every minifig in the Looney Tunes series. With five heads, four hats, five hairs, three arms, and an animal, they may well have maxed out the new mold budget for this series. Said to feature a Dalmatian, Cruella de Vil of One Hundred and One Dalmatians is also named as an included minifigure. 5 – Robin Hood Image: Disney Reported to include a guitar and Dante the Xoloitzcuintle, Miguel is the star of Disney and Pixar’s Coco. 7 – Pocahontas Image: Disney How is it that @CapnRex101 knows 'grito' and 'Xoloitzcuintle,' yet Ernesto's sombrero is just a "hat?" Bizzare.As for Coco, I think The Book of Life had more interesting visuals, but these days it matters that John Ratzenberger appears to be the sole cast member who wasn’t Hispanic, while the four biggest names from TBoL are not. And I thought the story was very well done, even if I did figure out the twist very early.
