About this deal

You will now be working rows perpendicular to the bonnet. This will create the ribbed edging. These rows will be referred to as Edging Rows (ER). In the following instruction I will be referencing a sl st to attach to Row 11. This refers to Row 11 of the bonnet.

For Child size bonnet, repeat Side row 2 until you have a total of 16 side rows and 22 rows total for your project. Part 3: Brim RowsLast Row: CH 31, SC in second CH from hook. SC in next 29 CHs. (A total of 30 SC), rotate your work so you can work into the side of the rows from Part 2 and 3. Work 2 SC into the side of each brim row. Work 1 SC into the side of each side row. Work in a k2p2 ribbing (k2p2 across) for 4 rows. slipping the 1 st on each row flat portion for a 1 stitch salvage edge. End after completing a wrong side row. Similarly, dress the kids in old clothes, or give them an apron to protect their regular outfit. An old adult T-shirt is an easy way to protect clothes if you don't have an apron to hand.

Last Row continued: Rotate your work until you can work into the other side of the side rows. Work 1 SC into the side of each side row, Work 2 SC into the side of each Brim row. CH 31. SC into second CH from the hook. SC into the next 29 CH.

Top tips for crafting with kids

Small items like googly eyes and pipe cleaners can easily find their way into a child's mouth, so keep a careful eye on them to reduce the risk of choking. Now your Crochet Bunny Bonnet is complete and ready to be enjoyed. They work up fast and make a great gift. Let’s Be Friends Brim Row 4: CH2, turn, DC in first ST, FPDC into next ST, *BPDC into next ST, FPDC into next ST,* repeat from *to* until only one ST remains. DC in last ST. Take the last tie that you crocheted and flip it over to that lies smoothly against the brim rows. Use a yarn needle and your yarn end to stitch the last stitch to the top of the brim rows and then weave in your end. Weave in the end at the center of the crown rows.
