Ambergris then layers its unique sweet earthy smell and tethers to the woody notes in the base. The dry down is pleasant and musky with traces of lavender, elemi and ambergris. I definitely get the pepper and rum up top, really nice. Then the cinnamon and woodiness come along, great. Even at dry down the cinnamon occasionally pops in with the wood and incense, lovely. Also, on my skin the patchouli and cedar are very apparent throughout which I love.

The opening elemi blast of pine/lemon blends with the sweet lavender and zesty bergamot to really grab your attention. Earthy/green smelling geranium in the middle bridges the fruity smell to creamy notes of tonka bean. As you would expect, musk is the star note of this fragrance. The opening is exotic, with rich woody notes wrapped in powdery orris root. The musk in the heart comes from orcanox and ambranone, with hints of tonka bean adding creaminess. Honestly for the price point I think this is a great fragrance. It is priced well enough that I can wear it frequently and not have to worry about the cost, plus I really love this on me. I know others have said it “smells cheap” or is “too synthetic” but I do not get that from this at all. In fact, I think it smells quite classy and sophisticated; a very mature, manly scent. And it’s unique enough that I’ve never smelled it on anyone else. When I wear this I do get compliments on it from time to time.
