Happy Salmon: The name of game is built into this action. Both players slap each other’s forearm 3 or more times. The companies are introducing limited-edition printable NFTs for Exploding Kittens’ latest card game Happy Salmon (pictured), which launched last November. According to Exploding Kittens, the Happy Salmon NFTs created by Glowforge are the “world’s first laser-printable NFTs”, allowing their owners to print the digital collectibles into a physical form if they so choose. Exploding Kittens, which is also behind the eponymous combustible kitty card game, food-fight hit Throw Throw Burrito and games with deeply witty titles like You’ve Got Crabs, announced that it would give away 10 Happy Salmon NFTs via a social media competition.

Since up to 6 people can play, it’s a great game to take along with you get together with extended family as well. Exploding Kittens are well known in the industry for their party games, from the record breaking titular game, to a whole range of over ten others, from Poetry for Neaderthals to a Game of Cat and Mouth and beyond. It has now acquired its first external game, with Happy Salmon. Apparently not content with removing one of the best parts of Happy Salmon in its recent re-release of the limb-slapping party game, publisher Exploding Kittens has decided to sully the game’s legacy further with the release of Happy Salmon NFTs. The game has been published by North Star games, designed by Quinten Wier, and Ken Gruhl, who has since joined the Exploding Kittens team as a Senior Game Designer. The Intention is to reimagine Happy Salmon, but with the typical and stand out Exploding Kitten's twist, in time for a November release.Play Happy Salmon as instructed in the Game Play section, yet play silently - no words allowed! Instead of shouting your action to match, act it out! The NFTs, 10 in total, can be used to print a collectible hardwood box that ties into the game for kids ages six and up. Only the NFT owner can print the design file—either by using their own Glowforge printer or getting a mail-out print from Glowforge—and the collectible box can only be printed once. (Exploding Kittens’ card games are known for coming in unique boxes, including one that meows and another that has to be shaved with a razor.) The strategy creates a new way for designers, artists and creators to share their work, according to a release. Also, beware that Happy Salmon can get quite noisy. You might want to consider that when choosing the location. Happy Salmon is good for 3 to 8 players. However, the real fun begins when at least 4 or 5 players are involved.
