About this deal

The cord itself is also a pretty nice cord that is very light and so if you forgot to charge the mouse it wouldn't be that bad to use it. After both the mouse and dongle firmware are updated, you can confirm the firmware version has been updated. Now the MM731 firmware update is fully completed and your MM731 is ready for normal use. The thumb buttons are slightly too far forward for my natural grip on this mouse. I struggle to actuate the front thumb button by rolling my thumb upward as I normally do; I'm required to lift my thumb and place it on top of the front thumb button or else I hit both thumb buttons while trying to use the front one.

the issue is the plugs feels extremely cheap and im scared to break the mouse everytime i plug the dongle or the mouse.but it is maybe because of the weight. Firmware for the mouse and dongle was easy to update to the latest firmware so there is no noticeable lag. The entire mouse has but one RGB LED zone, and that’s the Cooler Master emblem here on the rear side of the mouse. It’s not particularly bright and vibrant, which is somewhat of a bummer to an RGB enthusiast like yours truly, and I was also expecting Cooler Master to light up the Cooler Master MM731’s scroll wheel. Well, I guess this mouse is meant for the gamers where every gram matters, and more LEDs just doesn’t make sense in a design like this. Specifications Body material The software doesn't seem to be the best, it's barebones like the EVGA software but it gets the job done for changing dpi. the software is the same as the other mm mouse, no change but still freeze at boot sometime and still feels as unfinished as ever ....

Finally, because the mouse is intended to give decent palm support while being so tilted, the mouse's hump flares outward all the way to the bottom of the mouse -- it doesn't roll inward at the bottom like a Vaxee Outset, for example. This means that while using the mouse, I would find the skin at the base of my palm being pinched while trying to pull the mouse into my grip (for example, when trying to control significant recoil without moving my arm). Anyway this mouse is the lightest thing I've ever touched to the point that it almost makes it feel like a cheap piece of crap. I think it's the texture of the plastic that feels "cheap" to me, I have the exact same opinion about my gold PS4 controller. But the cheap feeling plastic makes it an absolute pleasure to use. I have a small hand (ie size XS-S in a brace) and for me it's the perfect size. I also love the flair on the right which is much more comfortable for me to rest my pinky on and improves on the main thing I disliked about the G604. I mostly palm grip and I do not usually play shooters. I really thought that I actually liked the weight of the G604 with 1 AA battery inside but I am preferring this mouse on almost all aspects. from firmware bugs slowing down the mouse reaction time, or bugs destroying the polling rate,or the software not detecting the mouse anymore, Overall, I would hypothesize that if you had slightly smaller hands with similarly shorter fingers and larger palms like me, or if you had similar size hands but with smaller palms and longer fingers, the MM731 could be a good fit. It would also work if you happen to like curling your fingers more than I do. the sensor on this mouse is extremely nicely placed at the front, and the mouse felt not bad in wired mode.

After the dongle FW update is completed, the MM731 update process is fully completed. Now the MM731 firmware update is fully completed and your MM731 is ready for normal use. This mouse has excellent build quality, better than many mice I've tested. Absolutely no creaks or flexing, even though its so lightweight it's extremly solid and all feels like 1 very solid piece. All the buttons and scroll wheel are great and feel like very good quality. The shell material has a nice texture and feels great. Speaking of the software, MasterPlus is a neat little bit of software that supports most of Cooler Master’s ecosystem, from their RGB controllers to their more recent peripherals. For the Cooler Master MM731, you get to adjust the sleep mode delay, the low power mode notification, button assignment, sensitivity, lighting as well as the macro programming and on-board profile. There are five on-board profiles that you can create, which should be sufficient for most users anyway. Cooler Master also baked in the combo feature which lets you add a second layer to your mouse if you need to practically double the buttons/hotkeys available to you on the Cooler Master MM731. ConclusionSo my hand size is 18 cm x 9 and I haven't loved ergonomic mice besides EC2-B. EC2B has a lot of flaws too which I won't get into. We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.4. This update modifies our Hand Size Recommendation test, adding a more granular hand size recommendation chart. We've moved several minor tests into different test groups, removed the Travel usage, and added a new Raw Performance usage. For more details, you can see our full changelog here. Taking out the RGB could have reduced the weight even more and possibly increased battery life. Granted I have turned the RGB off on day one.
