I felt drawn into the story fairly early on and once the author had my attention that was it, I knew that the author would refuse to let me reclaim my attention until the end of the story. The author uses such vivid and powerful descriptions that I felt as though I was part of the story myself. I found that I was so in tune with Nell to the extent that I felt myself going through every emotion that she did. Nell hasn’t had the easiest of lives. Her mother passed away when she was a child, her father disappeared and hasn’t been heard from for years and her soul guardian, her grandmother has now also passed away leaving her alone in the world, all except an abusive boyfriend.

It was here, during this trip that we realised that this podcast is not just about Ruby. It can’t be.
