All of the secondary characters did their part and if you had any doubt, I Could Read Melanie Harlow All Day Long. She’s an art teacher at an elementary school but has so much talent that she could actually become an accomplished artist, with her paintings being sold at local art galleries, but her fear of rejection holds her back. Word spreads in the faculty room about her phantom boyfriend, and now she has no choice but to find a date.

Theo had the biggest hurdles in this tale and it was telling that his brother finally had figured out how to help himself first so he could be there for Theo. Theo was incredibly sexy and charismatic during the first 25% of the story but as he started to become a serious flake and kept putting Claire through so much unnecessary heartache, I started to lose my love for his character.It is ever-so-slightly interconnected with After We Fall ( my review) but you absolutely do not have to read the other book before, or even after, this unless you want to. I am a graduate of Communication Arts from some university in SE Asia that has vowed exaltation to the color RED.

As I have mentioned in my note above, this book can be considered a ‘third’ installment to an unnamed series by Harlow. Claire knows that she is Theo’s opposite in every way and maybe she should stay away from him since he apparently has a lot of baggage, but she can’t help herself. Theo and Claire both have shortcomings but together they conquered these fears and that’s what makes this story worthwhile, I guess.We also have a very cute scene near the end where they're laying in bed hashing out their feelings, and she is going over the dad who abused him, the mom who abandoned him and he is still trying to stop his dick from twitching.

Theo's hardest decision will be whether he keeps running or takes a leap, opens up and lets Claire in. He needs to conquer his demons before he can finally open up and become a better person, not just for Claire, but for himself as well. I talked myself out of so many things because I looked at them as opportunities to fail, not as opportunities to succeed. Unfortunately she lied to a colleague about having a boyfriend so now she has to bring a Ryan Gosling look-a-like as her date to a wedding.When our leading couple first met it to set up a one evening gig - he was to be her 'partner' at a wedding to save face after she kinda made up a boyfriend when put on the spot. She’s going to a wedding, and if she has to sit at the awful singles table one more time… well, not this time. I honestly don’t know where to begin my review because I can’t stop smiling because Theo and Claire’s story was just another reminder that modern day fairy tales do exist. From start to finish, I found this one to be super enjoyable, so if you, like me, are a fan of this author, or you simply want to read something delightful, you don’t want to miss this one.
