Big shout out to Colin for taking care of me being a bit nervous and feeling very I’ll from a big night, chauffeured me around on the Kayak like the queen! The only slightly negative point is the size and weight does make it a bit difficult loading and unloading from the car and a trolley is a must, but I should imagine that us the case with all tandems? We will only recommend the best kayak, canoes and equipment for you, not just what we can get hold of.
I have had one of these for a month now and must say it meets my needs, inshore kayaking/fishing and estuary/river paddling.
I have made my own comparisons to the Perception scooter, Wild thing tarpon and others which the names escape me and although they are a bit bigger and feel more buoyant I have had just as much fun for far less cash. When this shaft is used in its shorter format on a whitewater paddle, it is still stiff enough to deliver the power and yet give a degree of flex that some paddlers prefer. Everyone in the group met together after the first few waves, sticking together we were praying to see dolphins. The staff was amazing and super helpful and friendly and I actually got to chat to some of them quite a bit which was great. Repeat this process of us flying out of the kayak seven times, and at last we made it past the wave break!
