I think they're pretty useful if you're going into a mine and have to deal with an enemy (eg: miner) that won't budge from anything short of Strike damage. Its fast enough to use against most bosses and its reach and moveset trivializes not only groups of trash mobs but also really hard-to-hit enemies like Black Knife Assassins. It can light your everything quickly and also suitable for light candle jars, gas stovetops, BBQ grill, camping, fireworks and so on. However, they are commonly compatible with Shield Bash to allow the user to strike without breaking their guard. Good all around defense, excellent guard boost, and more damage than all the others at high strength.Here we see the xenon light start to reveal swirl marks up around the triangle, but at the same time, the LED light has easily shown us the lighter swirl marks even above the triangle and up near the stripe on the door.
