I paused, trying to decide if I should share what I was getting. But since Maximo had opened the conversation, I felt it would be okay. The book shares some of the inspirational stories about how people have received messages from the beyond. It's both heartwarming and inspirational just to think we are able to receive these messages if we are open and pay attention to 'the signs'. For example, you may remember a certain phrase a loved one was notorious for saying, and you may come across someone who mentions that phrase - this is one of the ways the universe is letting us know that a loved one is sending you a message. Several days ago I posted an update to my review thru the edit button. I don't know how long it takes to appear but it should have by now so I copied then deleted my original review & added the now 2 updates. Just as I submitted it the whole thing just disappeared! I will rewrite it as best I can & I apologize to the 2 people who said they found my review helpful but I thought the updates were important & I want to share them.

This is a very hopeful book for those that have suffered losses in their life. When someone passes away, we often wonder if they are doing okay and if they can connect with us. The author happens to be a psychic medium who is able to connect with people that have passed, and has the ability to convey messages. She believes that anyone is capable of connecting with our loved ones and provides many examples and ways to do so yourself. Oh my God,” Maximo said. “Virgil came to me in a dream, and I saw him with my father, who was also Maximo. They were together.” The only chapter worth reading is 30...(why did I really suffer through 29 to get there)...which discusses the importance of art, travel, and basic self-care routines. This stirring guide . . . asserts that anyone can learn to understand messages that are sent from the 'Other Side.' . . . For readers struggling with loss who believe it's possible to communicate with the deceased, this book will console and empower them to look beyond their suffering." -- Publishers WeeklyAnd she is partially right. But the book got clouded by this other stuff, by her and not her message. Also it just got plain ole repetitive. Do I need 1000 (exaggeration) stories of the same thing to get ur point? After that, I opened my mind to the rest of the book. All I can say, is that you have to read it for yourself, especially if you are struggling with the loss of a love one. It is a beautiful experience. A modern guide to connecting with the other side, Signs is full of stories of hope. It teaches us how to recognise and interpret the life-changing messages from loved ones and spirit guides, by a renowned psychic medium. Maybe it’s just not that easy to let go of the hope that you can still talk to the people you love once they’re gone. There’s clairaudience, which is clear-hearing or hearing a thought that’s not yours. When we connect with loved ones or spirit guides from the other side, a lot of times it is like a quiet voice inside.

It is obvious the author loves what she does as well as her clients. She & they have had incredible experiences. Her beliefs fit right in with mine so none of this was new to me & I have watched all the medium shows on TV. I didn't have the type of family relationships she talks about so I was hoping there would be more about spirit guide communication but I guess the same can be applied to them. I read or heard long ago that we shouldn't ask for a specific sign because they considered it testing or playing games & didn't like it but she & her clients have had good success & it seems like a good idea to me. This book will be comforting & probably life changing to whom these ideas are new.
