About this deal

The use of a cutting-edge PFC circuit in combination with a fully digital platform seems to be the key for record-setting performance. Besides its super efficiency, the AX1600i also offers great load regulation, amazing transient response, a long hold-up time, and unparalleled ripple suppression. Moreover, the great benchmark results are accompanied by quiet operation, enabled by a relaxed fan profile and a high-quality FDB fan. Using the Corsair Link software, you're able to choose between three fan modes: performance, balanced, and quiet. To be on the safer side, you should get the Super Flower Leadex V Gold PRO 1000W White PSU. It’s a fully modular unit with excellent build quality. It has an 80+ Gold certification with up to 90% efficiency. Pros: e3: Added Lian Li's SFX PSU. As noted above, this is not compatible with 40-series GPUs. Added rumor / leak about Corsair possibly releasing an SFX-L series.

e2: Added ASUS TUF line, updates from the official ASUS Discord re: availability of the ASUS products. These units are fully modular and meet ATX 3.0 standards for high-level power efficiency and reliability. The RM1000x Shift has a 140mm FDB fan with a zero RPM mode that runs entirely silent for 50% and below loads. Pros: Causes include: foreign object debris (manufacturing defect or from repeated mating cycles), extremely improper insertion by the user, or improper insertion with a taut wire on one or more pins. e16: December 16th, the Vertex press release now lists availability as January 2023 for NA / EU / Asian markets. User u/Blakman777 has added that a rep has said Platinum efficiency models are currently planned for Q2 2023. Updated CableMod adapter section with the latest update from them. V1 of the adapter had an issue and had to be retooled, currently expecting V2 to ship at the end of FebruaryThe unit features a 135mm MagLev fan with custom rotors for superior cooling at low noise levels. It has zero revolutions per minute mode for loads up to 40%. Pros: The arrival of two high-wattage SFX PSUs comes as an exciting prospect for small form factor PC builders, anyways. With this much power under the hood, you needn't have to worry about hitting the power threshold of your PSU, just whether your components will actually fit in your choice of Mini-ITX case.

Its lesser wattage counterpart, the LOKI-850P-SFX-L, got Eff:Platinum Noise:A, so I'm optimistic this one is nearly as good. e24: September 15th. When I made this thread, there were few true ATX 3.0 PSUs, and little information regarding upcoming ones. Because that is no longer the case, with significant improvements in availability / options, this thread is no longer being maintained / updated. My best advice if you're unsure on what to get is:The Corsair RMx Shift Series PSUs are exceptionally built for a highly reliable power supply to extreme PC builds. They feature innovative side-mounted connectors for an easy DIY building experience! Thought I'd write down what I've found so far, and ask for community help in looking for more options to keep an eye out for. The RM1000x doesn’t offer ATX 3.0 compatibility and the side-mounted cable interface. But it is slightly affordable, which makes it an excellent value for money! The Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 1000W Gold is among the few 1000W SFX power supplies in the market! Yet, it still features top-tier specs. It’s ATX 3.0 compatible to deliver up to 600W power to your next-gen PCIe 5.0 GPUs.

e19: January 15th. Updating Corsair with their rumored Shift line (thanks u/RacingJayson), and looks like the SFX-L PSU has popped up on Cybenetics (thanks u/mehrdad96). Also updated Dark Power 13 with wattages, MSRP, and a release date (thanks u/Terra711). u/techfiend5 also informed us of an update from Cybenetics / SilverStone that the Hela 1200R has now met ATX 3.0 standards when re-tested, so I've removed the disclaimer from their section of the post. Cleaning up some of the strikethroughs / outdated info as well. So there have been a lot of threads asking about ATX 3.0 PSUs with the new 40-series cards, I thought it’d be helpful to have a community-sourced list of what all is out there for reference / linking. I’ll post all that I know / can find, but feel free to add more in the comments and I’ll add it to the OP.

The Quietest SFX-L PSU

The SST-SX1000-LPT SFX is an 80 PLUS Platinum certified 1000W fully modular PSU with an SFX-L form factor, the unit comes with all the necessary cables you'll need for a high-end machine, including one 24 pin, one 4+4 pin CPU connector, dual 6+2 PCI-E connectors, four SATA connectors, three molex, and one 4p floppy connector. The Seasonic SSR-1000TR is their best offering in the 1000W power range! It’s fully modular and 80+ Titanium-certified. It has a peak efficiency of 94% at 50% system load capacity, making it ultra-powerful for high-performance PC builds. e9: FSP group PSUs available as of late November 3rd US PST. Looks like PTM Pro are still up for sale as of the time of this writing. Make sure you are purchasing one that is clearly labeled ATX 3.0 / PCIE Gen5, ( such as this), as they are using the same model name as the non-ATX 3.0 version otherwise. A buddy wants to upgrade his PSU from an SF750 to a 1000w SFX/ SFX-L. The reason is he upgraded from a 3070 Ti to a 3090 Ti and wants peace of mind. I got some good advice in another post on whether he even needed to upgrade the PSU and ultimately my friend decided he wanted to upgrade it. Update November 17th: GamersNexus has put out a very thorough video on the connector melting issue here, including actual reproduction of melting. It's incredibly informative and I highly recommend watching both it and their initial series of tests from October 30th if you have any concerns whatsoever about the reported issues with 12VHPWR cables / adapters.
