About this deal

I used one at my work PC for some time, in no small part because it's spill-resistant, and that feature got put to the test on multiple occasions.

The Razer Cynosa Chroma and Razer Cynosa Chroma Pro are tied for second best while the Razer Cynosa Lite comes in last at roll overs. It's a minor thing, but when you're used to typing without looking at your keyboard, a small change like this means lots of missed presses. I actually found a way to run synapse, force close certain resource hog apps, rename them to avoid them from auto-running again, and it seems to cut down the resources needed by almost half, while allowing me to keep my lights color scheme being used on keyboard/mouse. He loves PCs, laptops and any new hardware, and covers everything from the latest business trends to high-end gaming gear.

The keyboard comes with a standard length (albeit non-braided) cable, which means you won’t spend time tugging at the wire to move your budget board around.

The newer model also adds dedicated media keys in addition to having multiple cable routing options. There are some things, small things, about this newer model that have frustrated me throughout my time with it. Gamers will traditionally lean towards mechanical keyboards with good reason, but they're also pretty loud, and can be expensive.

It still looks crisp, but doesn’t offer the best lighting experience compared to other Razer keyboards due to its inherent dimness.

Although the keyboard comes with a self-explanatory lighting configuration, you can enable to disable it based on your requirements. This isnt that common, and on average I would say has only happened maybe once per month, but nothing is more frustrating than when your browsing the internet, go to scroll on a web page, and it starts resizing the page instead of scrolling(because the computer thinks I am holding down the "CTRL" key while I scroll the mouse wheel, its just doing its job lol).Much like every other Razer product I’ve had my hands on, the software and lighting department is certainly where the Cynosa Lite gets one over on its rivals.

The Razer Cynosa Chroma and Razer Cynosa Chroma Pro support 10 key rollover and anti-ghosting, a feature that will block additional simultaneously key presses from being registered after the 10-key limit has been reached. The Logitech is tactile, with more heft, and pricier mechanical units are faster and crisper – they provide a weightier and more conventional experience. With its trusted Synapse 3 software and gorgeous Chroma lighting, not to mention a sturdy plastic frame, it’s a great option for the money. The Razer Cynosa Lite is one of the most affordable gaming keyboards that Razer has ever produced – it’s a big departure from a company that’s usually associated with high-octane, high-end hardware. I bought this keyboard primarily because I wanted a backlit keyboard for using it in a relatively dark room. If you’re looking for something with razor-sharp accuracy and precision that will also last for many years, then a mechanical board such as Logitech’s G413 may be a better option. The Razer has an RGB logo on its front edge, but there are no extra areas of bold angles and bright lights – the kind of additions we expect from Razer.
